Who we are

LinkUp is operated by LINKUP, a micro enterprise registered with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. We process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Information we collect

• Account information: your mobile number and the name you provide.
• Location: your device location or a location you enter, used to show nearby farms and distances. Farm owners provide the farm's location and address.
• Farm and listing information: farm name, description, products, quantities, prices, availability, photos and videos you upload.
• Activity: reservations, orders, follows, ratings, reviews and posts.
• Messages: chats between buyers and farmers within the app.
• Device information: device type, operating system, app version and a push-notification token.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account, including sending one-time passwords (OTP).
• To show farms, products and distances relevant to your location.
• To process reservations and let buyers and farmers communicate.
• To display ratings and reputation based on completed orders.
• To send notifications about your orders, farms you follow and important service updates.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to improve the Service.

WhatsApp and Meta

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. to send login OTPs and service messages to your WhatsApp number. To do this, your mobile number and the message content are shared with Meta, whose handling of that information is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.

We send only messages related to your account and your orders. We do not send promotional messages without your consent, and you can stop service messages at any time by contacting us.

What other users can see

Farm profiles, listings, Farm Life posts, ratings and reviews are visible to other users of the Service. When you reserve from a farm, the farmer sees your name and the reservation details, and you can chat with each other. Your mobile number is not displayed publicly.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, such as cloud hosting, messaging and notification providers, under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.

Storage and security

We store data on secure servers and use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and hashed one-time passwords, to protect it. No system is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, as described on our Data Deletion page.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance by writing to linkup.farmer.connect@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by law.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
